OVERHEAD CRANES
Overhead Cranes, as its name suggest, installed on building's top side, consists of parallel runway beams on each side with a traveling girder spanning in between. Overhead Cranes is the most common crane type installed in factory, warehouse, and workshops.
The benefits of this crane type are :
- Larger Working coverage area, it can cover almost all the building's floor space
- Depending on the column strength, overhead cranes capable to handle heavy loads
- Unlike gantry crane which have to install rail on the floor side, overhead cranes has a clean floor space
